For former students reminiscing with me about anatomy and zoology labs, the frog dissection exercise seems to be the mainstay of their memories. They chide me about my distinction between dissection and butchery. Their conversations recalled my very first attempt at dissection, which in retrospect, was more the latter than the former. And it was a toad, not a frog.
