When one writes or talks of something new, it is invariably in reference or relative to something old. Things, people, and ideas all eventually get old. If anything new occurs in an aging body, it is likely to be some new hurt or limitation giving credence to the thought that new may not always be better. There is some dissonance in the idea of a new prescription for an old guy.
